说实话,我相信 Hytale 不会成为大家预想中的灾难。首发版本确实不会完美——Simon(项目总监)自己也明确说过。但如今的 Hytale 已不是当年那个陷入开发地狱的项目所依赖的同一套领导体系了。未来的发展必将有所不同。

毫无疑问,这将是抢先体验版本——我们对此既不怀疑也不幻想。不过那些唱衰的人们挺可笑的:他们完全不了解 Hypixel 的发展史,同时也不了解我本人。我从零开始创立了 Hypixel,凭着赤手空拳的奋斗,带领团队走到今天——如今运营着两家工作室,拥有 140 多位顶尖人才,持续产出大量内容,还拯救了 Hytale 项目。这一路上我遭遇过无数批评与质疑,而这恰恰证明我们正走在正确的道路上。
我们拥有超过四千万独立用户的历史积淀。过去几年我的收入早已翻了几番,实现了财务自由,现在可以全心投入真正想做的事:开发 Hytale。未来数十年我都将持续为这个项目注入资金,更拥有一支能够实现宏大愿景的顶尖团队。
时间自会证明我是对的——向来如此。我们只需一些时间修复问题,并与社区共同成就伟业。
整个方块(沙盒)游戏类型迫切需要更优秀的作品和模组创作空间。深耕这个领域十五年后,我发现自己已难以从中获得乐趣。现在是时候打破僵局了——正如这个类型中许多作品那样,我们必须停止对失败的恐惧。方块游戏领域仿佛受到诅咒,人人避之不及。这是极度复杂的游戏类型,需要对内核有深刻理解,唯有扎根社区的人才能创造它。我们的团队成员正是从社区中选拔而来。
我骨子里充满竞争精神,Hypixel 连续十余年稳居 Minecraft 服务器榜首,覆盖超半数 Java 版玩家。我并非毫无背景、妄图制作"又一款方块游戏"的愣头青——我在此领域已深耕多年。我始终与方块游戏社区中最杰出的成员为伍,倾听他们的声音,邀请他们担任顾问或加入团队:PVP 玩家、建筑大师、艺术家……所有的创作者们。

I honestly believe that Hytale isn't going to be the disaster people think it is. It's not gonna be pretty on release, Simon (the lead director) said as much, but Hytale isn't under the same leadership that put it in development hell. Things WILL be different going forward.

It will be Early Access, no doubt or delusion about it. Still, the haters are funny; they don't understand Hypixel's history at all, and neither do they know me. I built Hypixel from nothing, from the ground up and pushed myself and the team to where we are today, now running two studios with 140+ talented people and producing tons of content and saved Hytale. Along the way, I have encountered a lot of criticism and doubters; it means we are doing things right.
Now, we have a history of 40+ million unique users. I have already made several times my money over the past few years, and I am financially free to do what I want: work on Hytale. I will fund Hytale for decades to come, and I have a fantastic team that can deliver the big dream vision.
I will let time prove me right, as always. Just need some time to fix it up and do great things with the community along the way.
The whole block game genre needs better games and modding opportunities. I am no longer enjoying my time in this genre after 15 years. It's time to shake things up and stop being afraid of failures, as many have in the block genre. This genre seems cursed, and everyone is avoiding it. It's a highly complex game genre that requires a deep understanding; it can only be created by people within the community. Hiring within the community.
I am highly competitive and have been the #1 MC server for more than a decade, with over 50% of Java players who joined. I'm not a random newcomer with no background coming in to make "another block game"; I have been doing this for many years. I surround myself with the best within the block genre community and consult, hire and listen. PvPers, Builders, Artists, everyone.
